I am thinking I will likely use Hubpages as a ‘from time to time’ thing, but have been holding off on setting up an account partly because I need to make decisions. I have been contemplating whether to use the same name I use on Squidoo or to use my full real name. The advantage [...]

That is helpful information. I didn’t know that Wikipedia didn’t count toward the link limit. I do like linking to authoritative information sites. What else besides Wikipedia?

KarenTBTEN commented on the blog post How to get quality backlinks: Zimbio 2 weeks, 4 days ago · View
It was interesting browsing through your wikizines. it gives a different (better) image of Zimbio. I had made a comment on another forum about looking for article sites that weren’t ‘magazine cool’. I couldn’t remember the names of the sites that had so turned me off on… article sites. I think there were a couple [...]

I listened to that one last night. The main thing I would not have thought of was entering a specific post where it says website. I thought it was expected that one enter their blog main page (one of them, anyway) wherever they saw that.

No, I’m not referring to the tall building out the window!I’m referring to the basil plant there in the foreground… though the Space Needle parallel may need a bit of explaining. Even if you’ve never been to Seattle, I bet you’ve seen pictures of the skyline. In postcards, the Space Needle looms large in the [...] -

Hello. That was rather a chuckler of an introduction. I think the beach is a metaphor of some sort — one that one really doesn’t need to pass any tests on. You can write blogs, comment on blogs, engage in discussions related to groups, or just … randomly say things.
In reply to - paperfacets posted an update in the group Welcome!: Here and there I have heard about Crabbysbeach. I think I know who Crabby is, but the beach I am clueless about. Even though I am too old for anything but a coverup I will explore because I still wanna have fun. Haha, hello. Talk to you all in [...] · View -

That was one of the only times I laughed out loud at something someone wrote on Twitter. There is something quite funny about addressing that to a (presumed) cat.

I think there is some kind of account hijacking. The number of people making comments about pharmaceuticals on the activity page seems to be going up.

Theoretically I love bats — the one animal I went on sort of a crusade for starting in college. In reality, though, if i came home to one flying around the studio, i would probably scream quite loudly myself.
In reply to - Correen (clouda9) posted an update: OK just officially had the be-jeez scared right outta me – a bat got in the house and was flying around. I won’t bore you with all the gory details…just know I was screaming like a banshee! Ewww! · View -

Oh, yes, the wonders of modern technology! It used to be that a person had to actually attend groups and events out there in physical space to read to or at people. Nowadays such activities are carried out at home on a little netbook.
I am glad you folks listened.

“What a great title and so true.” Yes. There are several good books that draw their imagery from the river. So first I clicked on the blog title, then the lens where I some quotes from the book highlighted…

Listen! The above clip of audio also appears on my Step Into Seattle lens. In a way it’s a ‘ghost of a July 4th past’ as it dates back to my first (temporary!) summer in Seattle. It was published a part of a larger piece, “Til Steve Salamander Returns”. Steve Salamander was… ah, but that’s a long [...] -

I like the last line. On the one hand, politicians tend to have certain qualities that place them in the category of people whose wants are too strong. Thus I think their pockets of darkness and weakness and corruption may actually be more severe than the people we see when we look around us. The [...]

I read this on Twitter: ”Facebook’s New Photo Tagging Feature Selects Friends For You”
Now there’s a time saving device. (You know how much time 20th century people spent selecting their own friends?)
Had not seen that, but I guess it explains why I keep getting messages that ”so-and-so” accepted my friend request when I have never heard of the person and certainly didn’t request them as friends. What a strange thing to do — not to mention a huge violation of privacy since the moment that person accepted my friend request they had open access to my wall, info, etc.
